If you're in a hurry, here's the fastest way to add social icons to Gmail:
- Go to NiftyButtons Email Signature Maker
- Select your social platforms (Instagram, LinkedIn, etc.)

Access Gmail Settings
- Open Gmail in your browser (desktop version required)

Find the Signature Section
- Stay on the General tab (default)
- Scroll down about halfway to find "Signature"

Generate Your Social Icons
While keeping Gmail open, open a new tab and:
- Visit NiftyButtons Email Signature Maker
- Enter your contact information (name, title, phone)

Copy the Generated Code

Paste into Gmail
- Return to your Gmail Settings tab
- Click in the signature text box

Configure Signature Settings
Below the signature editor, configure when to use your signature:
- FOR NEW EMAILS USE: Select your signature from the dropdown
- ON REPLY/FORWARD USE: Choose same signature or "No signature"
- Most professionals use signature only on new emails, not replies

- Scroll to the bottom of the page
- Click the "Save Changes" button
- Wait for the "Settings saved" confirmation

Troubleshooting Gmail Signature Issues
Icons Not Showing
- Cause: Gmail blocks some image sources

Gmail Mobile App
📱 Mobile Limitation: The Gmail mobile app (iOS/Android) only supports plain text signatures. You cannot add HTML or images directly through the app.
Workaround for Mobile
- Set up your HTML signature with icons on desktop Gmail
- It will automatically sync and appear when sending from mobile
- The mobile signature setting is separate and text-only
- Leave mobile signature blank to use desktop version
